How Regenerating Hair Loss Works
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) stem cell treatments and microneedling can be used to treat hair loss in men and women.
Whilst these two treatments are moderately effective individually, they really shine when applied together. Microneedling stimulates the release of growth factors in and around the scalp, essentially priming the platelets and the stem cells in the plasma to perform faster.
While growth factors are released naturally, having more in abundance nearby the target areas for cellular regeneration can help to increase the rate at which healing occurs and also speeds recovery.

PRP, or plasma rich platelets uses a sample of your blood to separate and concentrate the plasma from the red blood cells. The plasma contains white blood cells and platelets, which are rich in growth factors. Once separated, the plasma is injected into the hair follicles to stimulate healthy hair growth.
Hair loss occurs when there’s a decreased blood flow to the hair follicles. With stem cell therapy we take the blood cells from the bone marrow (which is where they’re predominantly produced) and purify them. Then, the blood cells are injected into the scalp to trigger new hair growth.
In the first 24 hours:
- Expose skin directly to sunlight
- Apply sunscreen
- Apply makeup
Following day:
- Use any makeup applicators that have not been sterilized
Day 3 and beyond:
- Use an alcohol-based toner for at least 10 days following the treatment
